Pier Information: Located in Holiday Florida ( near Tarpon Springs ) this Florida Fishing Pier offers many fishing opportunities from fishing off of the pier or wade fishing on the shore line next to the pier.

This is not like the larger piers that are in a beach setting, this fishing pier offers more of an inshore setting with mangroves lining the edges of the sandy shoreline.

This Pier is known for producing great catches during the winter months because it is located next to the Progress Energy Power Plant warm water discharge.

The warm water attracts all kinds of different species of fish to come here during the cold winter months trying to keep warm.

This fishing pier can get crowded at times but has many places you can fish to get away from the crowd, just be courteous to the fellow fisherman out there.

When fishing here a regular inshore rod and reel will work just fine, the pier is not high off the water like many other piers so really heavy rods and reels are not needed.

Gulp shrimp on a jighead and top water lures work well here for artificials. For live bait you can never go wrong with live shrimp or a pinfish under a cork.
